Julie M. Carr – Female Pedophile – Sexually abused child on webcam

A mother of four young children in Maine was charged Monday with gross sexual assault after British investigators more than 3,000 miles away used the Internet to allegedly catch her in the act of Webcasting a sexual assault of her young child.

Julie M. Carr, 30, of Mars Hill, Maine, was arrested at about 11 p.m. Friday. Her four children — believed to range from 18 months to 5 years old — were taken into protective custody.

The Child Exploitation Investigation Team of England’s West Midlands Police said their unit received information late Thursday that a local man was using the Internet to show inappropriate material of children. An unidentified 18-year-old man was later arrested in Walsall, England.

A day later, on Friday, additional information was obtained by investigators, prompting the West Midland Police to contact officials at the Child Exploitation Online Protection and the U.S. Embassy.

“Our officers worked through the night on Thursday and Friday to ensure the identification and safety of these children across the other side of the world,” West Midlands Police Detective Chief Inspector Dave McCrone said in a statement obtained by FOXNews.com. “Many people use the Internet safely and securely; however, there are a small minority who choose to use it to commit criminality.”

“We work to make people safer, sooner. The very same technology used to commit the crime enables us to work quickly to protect those who may be vulnerable.”

Carr, who is being held on $50,000 bail on charges of gross sexual assault and felony exploitation of a child, was arraigned by videoconference before a judge on Monday. She did not enter a plea, Maine State Police Det. Sgt. John Cote told FOXNews.com.

Cote declined to identify the victim seen during the assault but said one recording was taken as recently as Wednesday.

“That’s kind of what facilitated us acting quickly on this information as we received it,” he told FOXNews.com.

Cote said it was impossible to immediately determine how many individuals viewed the material allegedly posted by Carr. He declined to discuss statements Carr may have given to investigators, but said “this type of crime” is increasingly common.

“It’s just continuing a trend that we’re seeing — an increase in this type of crime,” he said. “But as technology gets better, more units are dedicating more agents to this type of crime and are just getting better at it. It lends itself really to the prevelance of computers in our society.”

Cote, in a release issued on Saturday, said investigators were able to confirm that the woman seen in the video was Carr, and a search warrant was then secured for her home.

Attorney Jeffrey Pickering, who represented Carr during Monday’s arraignment, could not immediately be reached for comment. If convicted, Carr faces up to 20 years in prison for each charge.

Concetta Jackson – Pedophile Enabler – Bail Revoked

While teenage victims wept in relief, a judge revoked bail Monday for a baby sitter who admits she helped her sexual-predator ex-boyfriend molest and film her young charges.

Concetta Jackson, 46, faces 15 to 30 years in prison in what the judge once called a “sociopathic” case of child pornography.

Jackson and another woman helped procure children as young as 3 months old for John Jackey Worman, whose computers held more than 1 million images of child pornography when federal agents arrested him in 2006. Jackson pleaded guilty to one count of manufacturing child pornography while Worman and Dorothy Prawdzik were convicted of multiple child pornography counts at trial.

Worman is awaiting sentencing in the federal pornography case and faces a state trial for the alleged assaults on at least 12 children. Prawdzik is serving a 30-year federal term.

Jackson’s sentencing was delayed Monday so she could be tested for possible brain disorders and other health problems.

Jackson, in exchange for rent money, let Worman install a video camera in her bathroom in Collingdale that let him videotape children as they undressed and left infant girls in his care knowing he would abuse them, prosecutors said.

Jackson had been on home confinement since her September plea, with permission to leave home to shop or see doctors. U.S. District Judge Lawrence F. Stengel revoked her bail amid complaints from victims who ran into her and concerns about Jackson’s housing situation, finances and mental health.

Donald R. Peppers – Baby Raper – making pornography with 1 year old

The FBI has arrested a Hoffman Estates man and charged him with filming himself sexually abusing a baby and distributing the film.

Donald R. Peppers, 35, of the 500 block of Mesa Drive, faces federal charges of manufacture of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child pornography, according to an FBI statement. If convicted, he could spent 15 to 30 years in prison.

Peppers appeared Thursday in federal court in Iowa, where he was arrested. Authorities will transport him to Chicago where he’ll make a future court appearance, federal officials in Iowa said.

An undercover FBI agent searching for sexual predators on the Internet encoutnered Peppers on a sexually explicit Web site on May 17, and the agent began chatting with him via instant-messaging, the FBI said.

Using the handle “illinoisdonboy31,” Peppers sent the FBI agent images and videos of young children sexually abused by adults, according to the FBI complaint filed Wednesday.

Peppers also wrote messages detailing his fantasies about abusing a 1-year-old boy who was occasionally left in his care, the FBI said, adding Peppers was frustrated he didn’t enough time alone with the child before the child’s parent returned. Peppers also sent the agent non-pornographic photos of the child, the FBI said.

According to the FBI, Peppers dreamed about raping babies, and wrote he would buy a baby from a drug addict so “we could do whatever we want to him.”

Then on June 1, the FBI said Peppers sent the undercover agent a video file showing him fondling the baby he took care of.

“I send you something you promise never ever share it?” Peppers allegedly wrote in a message typed before the video was sent.

It’s unclear where the abuse was taking place.

The FBI contacted Peppers’ Internet service provider, Comcast, which provided records tracing Peppers’ screen name to his Hoffman Estates’ address, the FBI said. Hoffman Estates police Lt. Rich Russo said Peppers had no previous police record in the village.

A search of Peppers’ Hoffman Estates condo revealed the discovery of an “extensive” collection of DVDs, photographs and video tapes containing child pornography, the FBI added.

Agents arrested him Wednesday afternoon without incident in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where Peppers had been on business. Authorities said they located him there after contacting the Chicago-area printing company where he works.

Peppers was arrested as part of the FBI’s Innocent Images Task Force, established in 1996 aimed to halt the production, distribution and possession of children pornography. The agency has 43 similar cases being investigated across the country, according to the FBI.

Ronald Keith Mack – Repeat Sex Offender – He’ll get out alive one day!

Shackled and wearing a red jail uniform, Ronald Keith Mack pleaded no contest to three charges of sexual abuse of a minor during at hearing Thursday in Casper.

Mack, 43, entered the plea in Natrona County District Court. He also pleaded no contest to one charge of failure to register as a sex offender.

As part of a deal with prosecutors, the other four counts against him — two counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor — were dropped.

The victims in the case are boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 8.

In court, Mack spoke only to answer procedural questions, quietly answering “Yes” or “Yes, sir” from a podium as Judge David Park asked if he pleaded no contest to each charge. Victims’ family members cried quietly and shook their heads during the proceedings.

Mack faces a maximum of 15 to 30 years in prison.

Had his case gone to trial, he faced a maximum of 265 years in prison if convicted of all eight criminal charges, which included four counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, three counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor and one count of failure to register as a sex offender.

Police say they began to investigate Mack after the grandmother of one of the alleged victims found five or six pairs of girl’s underwear in his bedroom in November. The defendant had lived at the grandmother’s Casper home, but at the time of the discovery, he had already been arrested on another matter.

The woman spoke with her grandson, who reported being sexually assaulted by Mack, according to a detective’s testimony at a December hearing. Mack had also reportedly stayed at a home next door and is accused of sexually assaulting a girl who lived there.

A friend of the girl’s who spent the night at her home told authorities Mack had inappropriately touched her while the girls watched a movie with him.

Mack lived at a third Casper home from during parts of 2007 and 2008, according to police. A child who lived there said Mack baby-sat and abused her, according to police.

Mack has a 1995 conviction in Natrona County for indecent liberties with a then 6-year-old girl. He served time at Wyoming State Penitentiary in Rawlins.

Following his arrest, Mack was listed on Wyoming’s online sex offender registry. It indicates he was registered on Nov. 12, 2008.

Mack remains held at Natrona County Detention Center while awaiting a sentencing hearing.

Charles Michael Roth – Claims his 4 year old victim "Seduced him"

An Orlando man was charged with sexually battering a 4-year-old Deltona girl, officials said Wednesday.

Charles Michael Roth, 55, was left to care for the girl and her siblings while their parents were out of town about two months ago, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s Sex Crime Unit determined he touched and kissed the girl inappropriately, performed a sex act on her and showed her pornographic images on a computer.

Roth was arrested Wednesday in Orlando after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

The victim’s mother called the Sheriff’s Office after she noticed her daughter kiss her father with an open mouth, according to the arrest report. When asked about it, the girl told her mother that’s how Roth kissed her when he was watching her.

She told a case worker from the Children’s Advocacy Center that Roth asked her to get undressed and kissed different areas of her body.

Roth told investigators he was “seduced” by his victim and described her as a “domineering little girl,” according to the arrest report.

“It seemed innocent enough at the time but then it went a little bit too far,” Roth told investigators.

He said he is not a pedophile and kept apologizing, the report states.

He’s also accused of showing her pornographic images on a computer.

Roth was initially booked into the Orange County Jail and will be transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bail allowed.

Christopher Todd O’Leary – Repeat Sex Offender – Predator

A DeLand sex offender arrested on a charge of molesting a 14-year-old girl posted bail, officials said Wednesday afternoon.

Christopher Todd O’Leary, 34, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant charging him with lewd and lascivious molestation. O’Leary is accused of molesting the girl in March 2008.

According to a sheriff’s charging affidavit, O’Leary picked up the girl on March 7, 2008, to take her to a motorcycle event at Daytona International Speedway. Instead he took the girl shopping at several stores at a Sanford mall and entered the dressing rooms when the girl tried on her clothes.

After the shopping trip, O’Leary drove toward Daytona Beach and started touching the victim’s thighs close to her genitals. He then pulled over and parked on a dirt road and tried to unbutton the girl’s shorts, telling her, “Come on baby, I need your help,” the charging affidavit states.

O’Leary then put his hand in the girl’s pants and touched her inappropriately, authorities said.

WANTED: Keith Scott Holland – Cowardly Pedophile with Child Porn on the run

Investigators are searching for a southwest Houston man after discovering more than 100 child pornography videos on a computer seized last week during a search of his home.

Members of the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant on Thursday at the home of Keith Scott Holland, 49, officials said.

At first, Holland wouldn’t answer the door when the investigators with the multi-agency task force arrived at his home in the 9500 block of Ella Lee Lane, officers said.

“When they finally got in, he had tried to hide his computer,” said Eric Devlin, a Harris County assistant district attorney. “They found it under a chair.”

Holland is suspected of sharing child pornography videos stored in his computer for several months. An undercover investigator with the task force obtained four or five incriminating videos from him, Devlin said.

Holland confessed to trading the videos, but left in a Jaguar sedan while the investigators were searching his home, Devlin said.

“He bolted before the search warrant was done,” the prosecutor said. “We believe he is still in the Houston area.”

Investigators said Holland is a salesman specializing in leather goods at several stores in the Houston area.

Holland, who is white, is 6 feet tall, weighs 175 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes, officers said.

An arrest warrant has been issued, charging him with two counts of possession of child pornography. Bail set at a total of $100,000.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to Holland’s arrest. Anyone with information can call 713-222-TIPS or submit tips online at www.crime-stoppers.org. All callers will remain anonymous.

Thomas Bavedas – 3rd grade teacher puts cameras under students desk

A former city elementary school teacher faces criminal charges for allegedly hiding a video camera in a classroom closet and videotaping girls as they changed into costumes in preparation for a Halloween pageant.

Thomas Bavedas, 39, who resigned as a third-grade teacher at Waltersville School last May after his arrest for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Milford, was arrested again Monday. This time, he was charged with nine counts of voyeurism and nine counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Bavedas, of Brooklawn Drive, Milford, free on bond in the earlier case, surrendered to Milford police after being told there was a warrant for his arrest here. He is awaiting trial in Milford Superior Court on charges of marijuana and cocaine possession, first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, possession of child pornography, importing child pornography and employing a minor in an obscene performance.

Bavedas, dressed in a black hooded sweat shirt, his hands chained behind his back, was later brought before Superior Court Judge Bruce Levin.

The judge shook his head as he read the warrant affidavit. He then glanced to Bavedas who stood beside his lawyer, Edmund Q. Collier, shifting from one foot to the other.

Assistant State’s Attorney Marc Durso urged the judge to set a high bond for Bavedas because of the serious nature of the charges.

Collier asked the judge for leniency, pointing out a plea deal is in the works in the Milford case that could mean his client will have to serve a lengthy prison term.

Levin, however, agreed with Durso and ordered Bavedas held in lieu of $500,000 bond. He continued the case to Jan. 6.

On May 19, police detectives from Bridgeport and Milford police departments served a search warrant on Bavedas’ Milford home and said they found a large amount of child pornography, including video images that appeared to have been taken in a school.

Bavedas, a teacher in the Bridgeport school system since August 1999, most recently was a teacher at Waltersville School and the Lighthouse after-school program.

Police said some of the video images taken from Bavedas’ home appear to have come from a camera that was placed under students’ desks and clearly showed at least two girls’ underwear.

Police also found at the defendant’s home DVDs of nearly 10 girls, ages 9 to 12, getting undressed and then dressed into Halloween costumes in a closet in Bavedas’ classroom at Waltersville School, according to police. The video was taken on Oct. 31, 2007, police said.

In June, police said detectives searched Bevedas’ classroom and discovered a hole bored into the closet wall that appeared shaped to hold a video camera. Police said the hole was concealed on the outside of the closet with a bulletin board.

“He arranged activities to be performed by female students so he could get desirable video shots of them that were sexually satisfying to him,” said police Sgt. Jesus Ortiz Jr.

Robert Henry, the chief of staff for the city’s schools, said Monday afternoon he was unaware of the arrest and declined comment.
