Robert Williams – Repeat Sex Offender – Internet Predator – "every parent’s worst nightmare"

A SEXUAL predator abducted a 15-year-old girl and fled with her to France weeks after being freed on bail over another relationship with a youngster.

Robert Williams – described as “every parent’s worst nightmare” – was yesterday jailed for five years at Grimsby Crown Court, after earlier pleading guilty to child abduction and sexual activity with a child.

He will serve half of his sentence, less the 119 days he has spent on remand, and was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.

The father-of-three was on bail at the time of the incident in January this year after a complaint about a similar case involving another teenage girl.

In the first incident Williams, a lorry driver, met a 16-year-old girl on the internet and travelled from Scotland to Sussex to meet her, before booking into a hotel where the pair had sex.

He was interviewed and bailed but never charged.

But within weeks Williams arranged to meet a “naive” and “vulnerable” teenager from Cleethorpes, and whisked her off to France after taking her from her home in North East Lincolnshire on January 14.

Williams, 49, of Glebe Road, Whitburn, West Lothian, met the 15-year-old in a chatroom, where she had previously been talking to his son. He told her he was 19 and sent her a photograph of a man with a muscular body.

The court heard Williams was aware that the girl was 15 and when he later confessed his real age, she was said to be “unperturbed” by the truth.

The teenager told friends she had fallen in love with Williams and they would become engaged. During the two days before the pair went missing, they exchanged a “barrage” of nearly 500 text messages.

Williams and the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, travelled by train from Grimsby to Doncaster and then on to London, where they booked into a hotel room and had unprotected sex twice.

The next day they travelled to France by ferry and were found a week later, on January 21, when they went to the British Consulate in Lille. Staff at the Consulate contacted police and Williams was arrested.

Prosecutor Jeremy Evans told the court the girl was a virgin and did not want to have sex with him, but did not tell him.

Mr Evans said: “She says she wanted to wait until she left school and met the right person before losing her virginity, but said she did not ask the defendant to stop.”

Mr Evans said the girl told police she wanted to go home after they reached France and felt relief when they were found.

Sentencing Williams, Judge David Tremberg told him: “She appears to have been a particularly naive young girl for her years and vulnerable to the attentions of a man like you.”

He added: “The complainant feels used, which she has been.

“She is withdrawn, the effect on her and her relationship with her family has been substantial. She feels isolated and unhappy.”

In a statement read by Det Chief Insp Sharon Fielding, of Humberside Police, the girl’s family said: “We are pleased that this man is now behind bars as it means we can put this ordeal behind us and move on as a family.

Speaking for the Crown Prosecution Service outside court, Mr Evans called Williams “every parent’s worst nightmare”.

Jason Kaumeyer – Internet Predator – CSA Prevention

A Shorewood man was arrested for attempting to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex, according to the Office of Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart.

Jason Kaumeyer, 26, of the 1100-block of Geneva Street, was charged with indecent solicitation of a child. Kauymeyer suggested meeting for sex to a girl he thought was 14 years old but was actually a detective with the Police Child Exploitation Unit. He arranged to meet the girl near a fast food restaurant where he was taken into custody.

A preliminary police searched yielded evidence of Kaumeyer’s online correspondence as well as invitation for his upcoming wedding.

Kaumeyer’s bond was set at $15,000. His will appear in court next on June 16.

Timothy David Schwiederek – Internet Predator – MySpace

A 27-year-old Coweta County resident has been arrested for allegedly using the Internet and his cell phone to send obscene material to a 15-year-old.

Authorities believe there are other victims locally and are urging them to come forward.

Timothy David Schwiederek, of 26 Price Road, Newnan, was taken into custody without incident on June 6, charged with computer pornography and child exploitation as well as electronically furnishing obscene material, according to Major James Yarbrough of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 4, the sheriff’s office began investigating a report by a local citizen that a 15-year-old girl was receiving obscene materials through the online social networking site MySpace and on her cell phone. Schwiederek was chatting online under the nickname “Tater,” say authorities.

The suspect allegedly posed as one of the victim’s friends to gain access to her page. The victim’s cell phone number was on her page, which Schwiederek reportedly used to make sexual advances and send nude pictures. He also sent inappropriate material through MySpace.

Investigators traced the illegal activity to Schwiederek, a janitor at the Fulton County Airport at Charlie Brown Field. They executed a search warrant at his residence and found “a lot of pornography,” according to Yarbrough. Authorities seized his computer, which will be analyzed by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Police also found notebooks at Schwiederek’s home that contained names of girls with their e-mail addresses and other contact information, according to the major.

“We believe he’s done this to other individuals,” said Yarbrough.

Anyone who believes they may have been victimized by Schwiederek should contact Yarbrough or Inv. Jason Fetner at 770-253-1502.

Yarbrough reminds users of social networking sites to limit the personal information they put on their profile.

Shawn M. Mahoney – Victims in Child Pornography Identified

Hundreds of the images Shawn M. Mahoney received and passed on to other Internet users included the sexual abuse of pre-pubescent girls as young as two and four-years-old.

“The images included pictures of real children, identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children,” according to statement of facts in his case.

U.S. District Court Judge Claude M. Hilton sentenced Mahoney, 37 of Arlington, on Friday, June 5 to 70 months in federal prison for receipt of child pornography.

Mahoney, who pled guilty in February, will remain under court supervision for 15 years and will be required to register as a sex offender in any area where he lives, works or attends school.
During several chats with undercover officers on an Internet chat room and file-sharing program, Mahoney sent child pornography to an ICE undercover agent, according to Dana J. Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, and James Dinkins, of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

When officers searched Mahoney’s house and computer, they discovered that Mahoney received thousands of images of child pornography during dozens of chat sessions with other users of the file-sharing program.

Arlington County Police Department investigated the case with U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. Assistant U.S. Attorney John Eisinger and Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCormack, on detail from the Department of Justice’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, prosecuted the case.

Antoine Louis Johnson – MySpace Predator Busted

Gwinnett County police say a 26-year-old man posed as a teenage girl on the Web site to lure a 13-year-old boy for sex.

Antoine Louis Johnson is being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond. Johnson was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated child molestation and child molestation.

Authorities said the boy told a guardian early last week that he had been molested in June 2008.

The boy said he met a girl on the social networking site who promised sex if he would allow her brother to perform sexual acts on him, according to police.

Johnson picked up the boy near the entrance of his neighborhood and took him to a nearby vacant house for sex, authorities said.

Police learned that Johnson contacted a friend of the boy and sought a meeting, again pretending to be a 16-year-old girl.

Johnson arranged a meeting Friday with the boy and his friend at the intersection of Indian Shoals Road and Biltmore Oaks Drive, police said. Investigators approached Johnson and took him into custody.

Additional charges are pending, police said.

Police are asking any other potential victims to come forward.

Proactively ridding Facebook of babyrapers

A mother of three said she worries daily about her kids’ safety, especially with sex offenders living nearby. So she’s doing something about it after being inspired by a story on News Journal sister station, WKYC in Cleveland.

The woman, 29, saw Eric Mansfield’s series on a convicted child molester in Akron who set up a Facebook profile, something the social network now prohibits.

Facebook deleted the man’s profile within minutes of being contacted by WKYC.

“Mary,” not her real name, wanted to see if offenders living near her family in Kent are also on Facebook, which allows those with profiles to “friend” each other and then share photos, emails and instant messaging.

Mary entered her address on the Portage County Sheriff’s Web site and learned the names and addresses of the sex offenders living near her.

She then entered those names one at a time on Facebook and has matched four sex offenders — all of whom were convicted of abusing underage girls — with active Facebook profiles.

“Kind of shocking and sick — just more access to kids,” she said. “You’d think Facebook could make some kind of way to check to see better if sex offenders were on there.”

After deleting one man’s profile, Facebook’s Simon Axton said, “Protecting our users, especially the many children who use our site, has always been a top priority for Facebook. We have been working proactively with states’ attorneys general to run their lists of registered sex offenders against our user base.”

Calls to the Portage County Sex Offender unit were not immediately returned.

RAYMOND ANDREW DEBA – Repeat Sex Offender – Internet Predator

Repeat Sex Offender, an internet predator – Raymond Andrew Deba of Texas, busted in action by Perverted Justice

For close to a year now, the Goliad County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Goliad District Attorney’s Office, headed by Mr. Michael Sheppard, have been working on the investigation of online predators.

“My Chief Deputy Bill Schaefer and Investigator Danny Madrigal have been working with an online adult contributor posing as a 14 year old girl in Goliad, said Goliad County Sheriff Robert DeLaGarza. Our contributor has been working with Chief Schaefer for months on a male subject identified as RAYMOND ANDREW DEBA, 50 years of age, from Austin.”

Deba was arrested by officers and reserves with the Goliad County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday July 12 at approximately 12:10pm after receiving word from our online contributor that he was enroute to Goliad from Austin with the assumption that he was going to meet the 14 year old girl.

Deba was arrested without incident at a predetermined location and was transported to the Goliad County Jail where he is being held on a bond of $40,000 for ONLINE SOLICITATION OF A MINOR TO MEET WITH INTENT OF SEXUAL CONTACT.

An investigation of Deba shows that he was arrested in San Antonio on November 10,2004 for ONLINE SOLICITATION OF A MINOR, and was sentenced to 3 years in the Texas Department of Corrections. Deba was paroled in 2007 and it was discovered he is a registered sex offender in Travis County. Since his arrest in Goliad, DEBA has been formally charged with a warrant for his arrest out of Travis County for FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS, a 3 rd degreeFelony. The bond amount has been set at $100,000 in Travis County.

“With the information and technology that we have at our fingertips now, it is unfortunate that we have individuals such as RAYMOND ANDREW DEBA, who prey upon unsuspecting innocent children,” said Sheriff DeLaGarza.

Raymond Deba was already a Registered Sex Offender in the state of Texas when he contacted my 14 year old persona. He was also still on probation after release from prison after a prior conviction for “Online Solicit Minor To Meet w/int Sexual Contact” among other charges. But once again, we have an example showing that this obsession is not one that can be cured by some prison time. Ray worked very hard for over two and a half months to groom who he thought was a 14 year old girl, and tried to coax her to meet him constantly. It took him some time to work up to his true intentions to have sex, which is frightening, when you think that a vulnerable lonely child might have been convinced to meet with his promises of trips to amusement parks and of gifts he would buy her. After he made his intentions for sex clear, he proceeded to attempt to educate my persona on the various techniques he wanted to perform with her.

Perhaps the most disturbing part of this chat was when he said he was going to buy the “morning after pill” for this 14 year old girl, and then instructed her on the proper way to take it. This shows he had no intention of using birth control, and selfishly had no concern for what this pill and his own actions might physically do to a child. He was just trying to destroy evidence that might have gotten him into trouble.

When my 14 year old persona finally gave in to his persistent requests to meet, it was law enforcement and not a real child waiting for him in a park in Goliad Texas. He pled out in District Court to 20 years for Online Solicitation of a Minor and 35 years for Online Solicitation of a Minor with Intent to Commit a Sexual Act. He also faced charges for Violation of Sex Offender Registration in Travis County. Chief Deputy Bill Schaefer is dedicated to protecting the children of Texas, and has my extreme gratitude for his professionalism and commitment. He and his department were a pleasure to work with.

Christopher Lynn Lord – Repeat Sex Offender – Internet Predator

Repeat Sex Offender, an internet predator – Christopher Lord of North Carolina, busted in action by Perverted Justice

Christopher Lynn Lord is another predator of the type that I consider every parent’s worst nightmare. He is a smooth talker, manipulative, able to sound non-threatening and like the nicest guy. Even his picture portrays him as a young-looking, clean-cut, harmless guy, complete with a baby on his knee. Before he even contacted my decoy persona, he had checked out her profiles, and was prepared with interests that he could say he had in common with the “child”. He used these interests as an opening to encourage meeting, working in the sex talk while cautiously watching for her reactions to be sure he was not moving too fast. He moved fast for a groomer, pushing to meet the “child” as soon as possible. He fits the classic definition of groomer, and I believe that he could easily convince even a wary child that he is a “good guy”.

My impression while chatting with Lord was that he was experienced at this grooming, knew all the techniques, and was frighteningly good at it. My first impressions proved true after I learned his history. Lord was already a Registered Sex Offender, and was on probation at the time he contacted my minor persona. It turned out that he was chatting with a long list of minors. I was very dismayed to learn that one of the IP addresses from which he was chatting with me was traced to the home of a real minor. There were also at least two “minors” he was chatting with who were actually law enforcement. I was working with an Information First department in North Carolina, and they were working out what to do about Lord. Lord mysteriously dropped contact with my decoy, and I found out why when our IF contact called me to report that Lord had been arrested when attempting to meet another “child” that day.

On the same day that he was pushing to meet my decoy persona, he planned to meet another child. Actually he intended to meet two other children, since his arrangements were to meet the law enforcement decoy and her friend. That’s right, he planned on meeting THREE minors on the SAME day. In the chat, where he discusses an appointment in Raleigh on that day, that was actually his plan to meet these other “children”. Captain Lester of the UNCG Police Department has my gratitude and respect for making this arrest. He took care of someone I consider to be dangerous, and also proactively investigated to search for other potential victims. Captain Lester contacted me when he was informed that Lord was also chatting with me, and asked for our evidence in support of his case. It turned out Lord was also chatting at the same time with another detective from Buncombe County.

Captain Lester told me that when faced with all of this evidence, Lord and his attorney decided to plead guilty. He also told me that the contribution of our evidence, along with that of the other detective, was extremely helpful and well received by the U.S. Attorney. Christopher Lynn Lord was charged federally with “Taking indecent liberties with a child by using a facility of interstate commerce” and sentenced to 235 months imprisonment and 25 years of supervised release.

Christopher Brian McGee – Repeat Sex Offender – Internet Predator

Christopher Brian McGee, using the screen name “horngogg69761,” allegedly used an Internet chat room to approach an undercover agent who was using the online profile of a 13-year old girl, telling her that she looked “awesome” and expressing a desire to send her photos that were not “g rated.”

According to the criminal complaint, McGee included a photo of a penis in his instant message window during a subsequent online chat, and later sent a webcam video that showed him nude and masturbating in front of his computer. McGee also allegedly expressed a desire to meet the girl for sex, but cautioned that any meeting would “have to be a secret.”

Corbett noted that McGee allegedly used unsecure wireless Internet connections in his neighborhood to conduct his online conversations with the “girl.” He urged all Internet users who have wireless connections as part of their home networks to use passwords and other security features to prevent unauthorized access.

McGee was arrested at his home on June 3rd by agents from the Child Predator Unit, who were assisted by officers from the Fairless Hills Police Department.

McGee is charged with three counts of unlawful contact with a minor and one count of criminal use of a computer, all third-degree felonies which are each punishable by up to seven years in prison and $15,000 in fines.

McGee was preliminarily arraigned before Fallsington Magisterial District Judge Jan Vislosky and lodged in the Bucks County Jail in lieu of $950,000 bail, awaiting a preliminary hearing.

Officials say McGee is a registered sex offender.

Each count is punishable by up to 7 years in prison and a $15,000 dollar fine.
