Robert L. Webster – Arrested for Distribution of Child Pornography

At least 29 such files were found on the hard drives, and one of the files was part of a known child sexual exploitation series, according to the papers.

A 35-year-old man was arrested last week for distributing child pornography on computers at his Felton home, police said.

Robert L. Webster of Fox Chase Drive was arrested early Thursday as the result of an online undercover investigation by the State Police Child Predator Task Force.

During a search, police seized six desktop computers, six laptops, 11 hard drives and other digital material, said police Sgt. Walter Newton.

Webster was charged with 29 counts of using a computer to unlawfully depict a child engaging in a prohibited sexual Act, Newton said.

Webster was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 in Dover and is being held on $870,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday morning.

According to court records, police found Webster in his bedroom in the home’s basement, where a workstation with a desktop computer was found. Webster admitted he was the only resident to use the computer, the papers say.

Webster also admitted to using LimeWire, a file-sharing program, to download the pornographic images, some of children as young as 3 or 4 years old, the papers say.

At least 29 such files were found on the hard drives, and one of the files was part of a known child sexual exploitation series, according to the papers.

Gordon Lee Parkin – Pedophile – Get 7 years and lifetime supervision

“Each time an image of a child victim is traded – especially to an individual who has not seen such image in the past – the child victim is victimized all over again”

SEATTLE – A Granite Falls man was sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison and will be required to register as a sex offender for distributing thousands of child porn images online.

Gordon Lee Parkin, 49, received the sentence Friday in U.S. District Court from U.S. District Judge James L. Robart. He also ordered lifetime supervised release for Parkin after he serves his term.

The judge also said he will consider ordering Parkin to pay restitution to one of the known victims in the case.

Parkin pleaded guilty to distributing child porn in January, said Emily Langlie, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle.

He was identified by investigators with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as using a chat program to send more than 8,000 images of child pornography.

When a search warrant was executed at Parkin’s home, agents discovered thousands of images of child pornography on his computer.

Agents also found more than 200 pictures of children in the neighborhood, including close-up shots attempting to photograph the underwear of young girls.

The chat logs on Parkin’s computer revealed that he had exchanged 8,645 still images and 11 movies of child pornography. In some instances he sent more than 750 images at a time to others via the chat program.

Many of the images were of victims identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and one of those victims has requested restitution from any defendant who distributed photos of her.

In asking for prison time and lifetime supervised release, Assistant United States Attorney Aravind Swaminathan described how trading child pornography repeatedly victimizes innocent children.

“Each time an image of a child victim is traded – especially to an individual who has not seen such image in the past – the child victim is victimized all over again,” Swaminathan said.

The case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood, launched in February 2006 by the U.S. Department of Justice. The initiative is designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.

Shawn M. Mahoney – Victims in Child Pornography Identified

Hundreds of the images Shawn M. Mahoney received and passed on to other Internet users included the sexual abuse of pre-pubescent girls as young as two and four-years-old.

“The images included pictures of real children, identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children,” according to statement of facts in his case.

U.S. District Court Judge Claude M. Hilton sentenced Mahoney, 37 of Arlington, on Friday, June 5 to 70 months in federal prison for receipt of child pornography.

Mahoney, who pled guilty in February, will remain under court supervision for 15 years and will be required to register as a sex offender in any area where he lives, works or attends school.
During several chats with undercover officers on an Internet chat room and file-sharing program, Mahoney sent child pornography to an ICE undercover agent, according to Dana J. Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, and James Dinkins, of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

When officers searched Mahoney’s house and computer, they discovered that Mahoney received thousands of images of child pornography during dozens of chat sessions with other users of the file-sharing program.

Arlington County Police Department investigated the case with U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. Assistant U.S. Attorney John Eisinger and Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCormack, on detail from the Department of Justice’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, prosecuted the case.

Jason Pate – Repeat Sex Offender – Pedophile

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The man accused of what police have called one of the biggest child porn operations they’ve ever seen was scheduled to be in court Wednesday, but his court date was canceled.

Jason Pate was scheduled to be arraigned on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor Wednesday, but his case was moved to federal court.

In November 2008, a tipster led police to raid his home where they found several computers filled with so many child pornography pictures that it took them several weeks to go through them all.

Pate is a registered sex offender with a conviction in Michigan back in 1997.

Pate’s new court date is unknown.

Larry Brandon Smith – Child Rapist and child pornography charges too, of course

A Midland City man who authorities said “essentially confessed” to sodomizing a 3-year-old girl remained in the Dale County Jail on Tuesday after a bond hearing.

Larry Brandon Smith, 23, was charged with sodomy in the first degree on June 2, according to court records.

Dale County District Judge Stan Garner said Tuesday he would take under advisement whether to set a bond for Smith and whether to revoke a $30,000 signature bond Smith posted May 11, when he was charged with possession of child pornography.

Dale County Assistant District Attorney Cathey Berardi said she didn’t believe Smith was a flight risk, but she was concerned for others around Smith.

“He needs to be held at the county jail,” she said.

Smith’s attorney, Tony Livingston, said Smith returned last year to family problems after serving a tour in Iraq, but said Smith would work and remain at his residence if released on bond.

Concetta Jackson – Pedophile Enabler – Bail Revoked

While teenage victims wept in relief, a judge revoked bail Monday for a baby sitter who admits she helped her sexual-predator ex-boyfriend molest and film her young charges.

Concetta Jackson, 46, faces 15 to 30 years in prison in what the judge once called a “sociopathic” case of child pornography.

Jackson and another woman helped procure children as young as 3 months old for John Jackey Worman, whose computers held more than 1 million images of child pornography when federal agents arrested him in 2006. Jackson pleaded guilty to one count of manufacturing child pornography while Worman and Dorothy Prawdzik were convicted of multiple child pornography counts at trial.

Worman is awaiting sentencing in the federal pornography case and faces a state trial for the alleged assaults on at least 12 children. Prawdzik is serving a 30-year federal term.

Jackson’s sentencing was delayed Monday so she could be tested for possible brain disorders and other health problems.

Jackson, in exchange for rent money, let Worman install a video camera in her bathroom in Collingdale that let him videotape children as they undressed and left infant girls in his care knowing he would abuse them, prosecutors said.

Jackson had been on home confinement since her September plea, with permission to leave home to shop or see doctors. U.S. District Judge Lawrence F. Stengel revoked her bail amid complaints from victims who ran into her and concerns about Jackson’s housing situation, finances and mental health.

Kenneth Sodomsky – Whining Pedophile – Supreme Court let’s case go forward

The Supreme Court won’t stop Pennsylvania officials from prosecuting a man whose computer was found to contain child pornography while it was at Circuit City being upgraded.

Kenneth Sodomsky wants the high court to suppress the videos found on his computer, which he had taken into a Circuit City in Wyomissing, Penn., to get a DVD burner installed into it. While the computer was in the store, a worker looked through some of the files and found movie files with “questionable” names referring to boys of various ages. The worker then found a video of a hand reaching toward a penis and called the police.

Police seized the computer, obtained a warrant and found child pornography. Sodomsky moved to suppress the discovery, saying the Circuit City employees had no right to search his computer and show any of its contents to police.

A trial judge agreed, but a state appellate court overturned that decision, saying Sodomsky ran the risk of his illegal files being found and viewed by taking the computer out of his house and to the store.

Circuit City Stores Inc. closed the last of its stores in March.

The case is Sodomsky v. Pennsylvania, 08-1274.

John Stelmack – School Principal made his own Child Porn – Sick Twist

Jury selection is scheduled to begin in the trial of a former Polk County principal charged with child pornography.

John Stelmack, 62, was arrested on five counts of possession of child pornography in December 2007 after detectives said they found nude pictures in his briefcase including one of a former 10-year-old student at Scott Lake Elementary School in Lakeland.

“He had taken this photograph of her, at school, and then had digitally moved her face over onto a nude body, which created child pornography,” Sheriff Grady Judd said at the time of Stelmack’s arrest.

Investigators said they also found a picture of a second young girl, who may have been a student at a school where he was affiliated with in the New York area.

Detectives later searched Stelmack’s home, removing a computer and a laptop they say had more photos.

Stelmack was arrested again in January 2008 on 12 additional charges of possession of child pornography.

Johnny Clevinger – School Psychologist – Decades worth of homegrown child pornography

Police say the FBI is now involved in the case of a Carteret County school psychologist charged with sex crimes.

Investigators say agents will look at computers seized from the home of 51-year-old Johnny Clevinger last month. Police say Clevinger took hundreds of lewd photos of children dating back several decades.

The FBI will be looking for more pictures or evidence the photos were distributed.

Clevinger is being held in the Carteret County jail on a $250,000 bond. He’s charged with first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and taking indecent liberties with a child.

Clevinger is suspended with pay from the Carteret County Public School System pending an investigation.

Investigators said some of the pictures of naked children found in school psychologist Johnny Clevinger’s home date back at least two decades.

Authorities said they also expect to find more photos on three computers they seized.

“A number of photographs [were taken] right there at the house, and there was some information that he was utilizing the computers for this type of activity,” District Attorney Scott Thomas said.

Some of Clevinger’s neighbors said they were suspicious that something was wrong in the home. One neighbor said she had even called child protective services in the past after worries about Clevinger’s adopted children.

Clevinger worked as a school psychologist for the Carteret County School System.

They said every employee must undergo a criminal background check.

Before coming to Carteret County, Clevinger worked for schools in Louisiana and North Carolina, including Wilkes County from 1984 to 1996. He then worked at Person County Schools from 1996 to 2001.

An online profile of Clevinger states he has worked with troubled adolescent boys. It also lists nudism as one of his interests, and includes links to nudist Web sites.

“If that’s his lifestyle, that’s up to him,” Thomas said. “But that’s not a defense in a situation where you may have illegal photographs of minor children.”

But authorities said the investigation into Clevinger is ongoing, and they still don’t know exactly who or how many children were photographed.

Clevinger was arrested after a store clerk found lewd photos in film Clevinger dropped off for processing. He is being held in the Carteret County jail on $250,000 bond and is charged with first degree sexual exploitation of a minor and taking indecent liberties with a child.
