MUSKEGON COUNTY — A convicted sex offender has been sentenced to prison for failing to register as a sex offender and violating a school safety zone.
Muskegon County Circuit Judge James M. Graves Jr. this week ordered Jeffrey Thomas Partlow, 39, who listed his address in court records as 68 E. Lincoln, Muskegon Heights, to prison for 16 months to six years for the sex offender violation and 223 days for the school zone offense.
A separate case of resisting police and loitering near a school was dismissed earlier when Partlow pleaded no contest to the other charges.
Partlow was first arrested in October for allegedly “hanging around” his parents’ home, 1637 Lawnel, which is near a school bus stop as well as Mona Shores Middle School.
Neighbors began complaining to police when the school year started about Partlow allegedly watching children from a window. He also was appearing near the bus stop when children got off the school bus, police said earlier.
