Kevin Stewart McMahan – ESPN Producer busted for Child Porn

A freelance producer for the sports network ESPN pleaded guilty to a child pornography charge, which could send him to prison for 10 years.

Kevin Stewart McMahan, 50, was arrested at the Salt Lake City International Airport in May 2007 after security screeners found more than 150 images of child pornography inside his luggage.

The luggage search resulted from the discovery of a lighter in McMahan’s bag.

On Monday, McMahan pleaded guilty to a count of child pornography possession. Another charge, transportation of child pornography, will be dismissed during sentencing as part of a plea bargain.

McMahan will be sentenced on Aug. 25 and could spend 10 years in federal prison. He has been in the Salt Lake County Jail since March 2008, when he was arrested for a second time for violating terms of his release.

McMahan has not worked for ESPN since his initial arrest in 2007, officials said.
